it's hoped and expected というのはなかなか面白い所ですが :-)、
hope はどちらかというと「なるといいなあ」のような、他人任せの
nuance が強いのに対して、expect の方は「なるようにがんばろう」
という意味合いを持っているように個人的には思っています。

「このテストサイクル (後のもの) と potato 安定版として発表される
　ものとの間で、パッケージのさらなる変更は不要になっているよう
　望むし、またそうなるようにしたいと思っている。」

くらいでしょうか。

Linux NOW ってのは製品名みたいですね。

「Progeny の求人ページでは、「Debian 開発者を探しています。

　サービスのしっかりした基礎がためを手伝ってくれる人」と
　述べられています」

くらいでしょうか。

　議論を追ってないので嘘だったらすみませんが、

「Social Contract と DSFG を "Foundation Document" にして、
　3:1 の多数を得たときしか変更ができないようにする」

という提案をしている、のではないでしょうか？
