全体的な解釈は近い気がしたのですが、ちょっと aspect の取り方が間違っていた
ようです。
aspect には「解釈」という意味があったのですね。全然知りませんでした。
(手元の英辞郎 64 には例文まで……。) 
納得しました。確かに、この訳でよい気がします。
