<p><strong>Automatic Clam AntiVirus Database Updates.</strong> Marc Haber <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-volatile-announce/debian-volatile-announce-2005/msg00003.html";>\
announced</a> that a script checks every 30 minutes if new virus patterns have
been released and rebuilds the virus database for <a
href="http://packages.debian.org/clamav";>Clam AntiVirus</a> on the <a
href="http://volatile.debian.net/";>volatile</a> host if necessary.  If all
tests are passed automatically
packages will be moved into the volatile archive.  Older packages are
automatically removed.</p>

<p><strong>Debian-Installer Etch Beta 1.</strong> Joey Hess <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-boot/2005/11/msg00605.html";>announced</a>
the first etch beta release of the <a href="$(HOME)/devel/debian-installer/">\
debian-installer</a> and explained why the release took so long.  The most
time-consuming problem was chasing recently introduced bugs in various
packages the installer depends on.  Daily building installer images only
rarely result in working images, which needs to be improved.</p>

<p><strong>Debian-Installer Etch 用ベータ 1。</strong>。
Joey Hess さんは、
<a href="$(HOME)/devel/debian-installer/">\
debian-installer</a> の etch 用としては初めてとなるベータ版がリリースされたと

通知し</a>、リリースまでに何故これほど時間がかかったのかを説明しました。
もっとも時間を要した問題は、インストーラが依存するパッケージで最近発生した
バグの追跡でした。インストーラのイメージを毎日構築しても、きちんと動作する
イメージが作られることはきわめて稀でした。この点は改善される必要があります。</p>

<p><strong>Mozilla Public License 1.1.</strong> Fathi Boudra <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-legal/2005/11/msg00112.html";>sought</a>
cover for the SugarCRM <a
href="http://www.sugarforge.org/content/open-source/public-license.php";>\
license</a> which is based on the <a
href="http://www.mozilla.org/MPL/MPL-1.1.html";>Mozilla Public License 1.1</a>
(MPL).  Matthew Garrett <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-legal/2005/11/msg00113.html";>reported</a>
that various people believe that the MPL alone is non-free, however, Mozilla
is being <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-legal/2005/11/msg00121.html";>\
relicensed</a> under the <a href="http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html";>GNU
GPL</a> and, hence, stays in the main archive.</p>

<p><strong>FOSDEM: Call for Talks.</strong> Wouter Verhelst <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-events-eu/2005/11/msg00022.html";>called</a>
for talks for the Debian room at the upcoming <a
href="http://www.fosdem.org/";>FOSDEM</a> conference that will take place on
February 25th and 26th, 2006 in Brussels, Belgium.  The talks should cover a
technical issue and aimed towards people familiar with the Debian
project.</p>
