<p>Welcome to this year's 22nd issue of DWN, the weekly newsletter for the
Debian community.  Joey Hess has produced a <a
href="http://wiki.debian.org/SecureApt";>detailed explanation</a> and HOWTO for
secure apt in Debian.  Martin Michlmayr <a
href="http://www.cyrius.com/journal/travel/crazy-fosdem";>reported</a> about
this year's <a href="$(HOME)/events/2006/0225-fosdem">FOSDEM</a> event and
noted that there seems to be a six month delay before a new applicant is
assigned an Application Manager which hinders the big-endian ARM port.</p>

ニュースの今年の第 22 号へようこそ。Joey Hess さんは、Debian での安全な
apt のための<a

今年の<a href="$(HOME)/events/2006/0225-fosdem">FOSDEM</a> イベントについて<a
href="http://www.cyrius.com/journal/travel/crazy-fosdem";>報告し</a>、併せて
ビッグエンディアン ARM 移植版の障害となっているアプリケーションマネージャに
応募した人の任命が、半年ほど遅れ気味になっていると言及しました。</p>

<p><strong>Creating a Debian Layout for Desktops.</strong> Luis Matos <a
href="http://bugs.debian.org/368594";>asked</a> for a Debian theme layout to
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-desktop/2006/05/msg00007.html";>\
improve</a> the <a href="http://bugs.debian.org/288393";>user
experience</a> of the Debian desktop.  The theme should include a background
image, splash screens and <a
href="http://bugs.debian.org/368599";>icons</a>. He also proposed a guided
contest to be organised.</p>

<p><strong>デスクトップ用 Debian レイアウトの作成。</strong>
Luis Matos さんは、ユーザにとっての Debian デスクトップの
<a href="http://bugs.debian.org/288393";>使い勝手</a>を
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-desktop/2006/05/msg00007.html";>\
改善する</a>ために、Debian 用のテーマレイアウトを<a
href="http://bugs.debian.org/368594";>求めました</a>。テーマには背景画像や
スプラッシュスクリーン、<a
href="http://bugs.debian.org/368599";>アイコン</a>が含まれている必要が
あります。Matos さんはまた、ガイドラインに沿ったコンテストの実施も提案しました。</p>

<p><strong>Debian IRC moving to OFTC.</strong> Steve McIntyre <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2006/05/msg00012.html";>\
announced</a> that the Debian project will move the Alias
<code>irc.debian.org</code> over to the <a href="http://www.oftc.net/";>Open
and Free Technology Community</a> (OFTC) network on June 4th, since many
discussions have been moved to OFTC already.  OFTC is also a sister
organisation of Debian, as both are supported and represented by <a
href="http://www.spi-inc.org/";>Software in the Public Interest, Inc</a>.
The Debian project has been using the <a href="http://freenode.net/";>\
Freenode</a> IRC network for many years.</p>

<a href="http://www.oftc.net/";>Open and Free Technology Community</a> (OFTC)
ネットワークに移動すると<a

発表しました</a>。これは、すでに多くの議論が OFTC に移動してしまったためです。
OFTC は Debian の姉妹組織でもあり、共に<a
href="http://www.spi-inc.org/";>Software in the Public Interest, Inc</a> 社に

<p><strong>Debian Projects accepted for Summer of Code.</strong> Baruch Even
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2006/05/msg00263.html";>\
reported</a> that nine Debian projects have been accepted for Google's <a
href="http://code.google.com/soc/";>Summer of Code</a>.  The plan is that
students who have a blog or set up one for the Summer of Code will be added to
<a href="http://planet.debian.org/";>Planet Debian</a> so everyone can follow
their progress on their quest to help Debian improve.</p>

<p><strong>Summer of Code に Debian のプロジェクトが採択。</strong>
Baruch Even さんは、Google 社の<a
href="http://code.google.com/soc/";>Summer of Code</a> に、Debian 関連の
9 個のプロジェクトが採択されたと
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2006/05/msg00263.html";>\
報告しました</a>。計画では、Summer of Code 用のブログを立ち上げているか
用意した学生を <a href="http://planet.debian.org/";>Planet Debian</a> に
加え、Debien を改良すべく探求する学生たちの進捗状況を皆が追えるように
する予定です。<p>
