この記事前後の状況を整理すると、以下の流れになるかと思います。
間違っていましたら、ご指摘ください。

1. NwesForge に掲載された Debconf6 のレポート (Open Tech Press に
   翻訳がありますね) 内で、Joey Hess 氏の "スーパーマーケット" 発言が
   取り上げられる。

2. その発言に、一部の人が気分を損ねた。

3. Hess 氏は、自らのブログで自分の真意を説明した。

で、以下の通りに修正してみました。

"explain" については、"釈明" も考えましたが、これだと Hess 氏を
悪者扱いするニュアンスが強く出てしまうと思い、"補足" としました。

the term supermarket for Debian as a resource of packages when he was talking
about fears that Debian could degrade into a collection of not well integrated

記事が言わんとするのは、優勝した帆船の船体自体はどこにでもあるタイプだが、
内部には Debian マシンが搭載されていたっっ!!

で、以下のようにしてみました。

600&nbsp;MHz with 1&nbsp;GB flash memory and a number of sensors.</p>
