全体的にまったく申し分ないのですが、2 点だけ……。

mangle は日常的に使う用語ではない (と思う) ので、ぼくも訳すときに悩み
がちなのですが、「改変する」というのがよいかと思います (英辞郎を見ると
「ずたずたにする」とか「めちゃくちゃにする」といった言葉がありますし、
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mangle には wreck とか obliterate とある
のですが、まぁ、ここでは元のかたちを分からなくするよりは改変することが
重要かなと)。

debcheckout(1) の該当オプションの説明には次のようにあります。

       -a, --auth
           work in authenticated mode; this means that for known repositories
           (mainly those hosted on http://alioth.debian.org) URL rewriting is
           attempted before checking out, to ensure that the repository can be
           committed to. For example, for subversion repositories hosted on
           alioth this means that svn+ssh://svn.debian.org/... will be used
           instead of svn://svn.debian.org/...

つまり、Vcs-* フィールドには svn://svn.debian.org/... という anonymous
checkout 用の URL が記されていても、それを解釈して、コミットできるよう
に svn+ssh://svn.debian.org/... という URL をチェックアウトしてくれる
わけですね。
