ありがとうございます。原理的に悪影響はないはずで、AfterStep
とtwmで動作確認しましたので、大丈夫だと思います。

現在のパッチは、作者にマージして頂くつもりだったので、「ここ
からここまではkawamuraが書いた」という責任をあきらかにするコ
メントをいれていませんので、後で作り直して送ります。よろしく
お願いします。

Debian packaging manualの`4.2.3 Architecture'に、

| In the main debian/control file in the source package, or
| in the source package control file .dsc, a list of
| architectures (separated by spaces) is also allowed, as is
| the special value any. A list indicates that the source
| will build an architecture-dependent package, and will
| only work correctly on the listed architectures. any
| indicates that though the source package isn't dependent
| on any particular architecture and should compile fine on
| any one, the binary package(s) produced are not
| architecture-independent but will instead be specific to
| whatever the current build architecture is.

とありますから、anyでいいのではないかと思います。APMインタ
フェースがi386以外で使えないということがなければ(そんなこと
ないですよね? >識者の方)。

それと、パッケージを作り直されるのでしたら、lintianに
| E: xbatt: binary-without-manpage xbatt
と言われるのも解決してくださいね。xbatt.1x.gzを作って、作者
にも謹呈するのが最高だと思いますが…。
