このへんからかな、という気がしますが、これは他に例として出されている
人々を見ればわかるように、反語としての表現ですよね。

ただし、こういう「例」が出てくること自体については Debian Project
 (のメンバー) が Debian JP Project の行動に注目している証拠だと
考えてよいでしょう。Debian Project も JP Merge Operation の進捗に
期待していると私は思っています。

「JP リリース」は日本国内での Debian に対する認識を高めるためのもので、
 Debian Project に対して日本語サポートの重要性に関する認識を高めるため
のものではなかったと思うし、実際 Debian Project にとってみれば
「JP Release」自体は単に Storm や Corel などの「独立した別のシステム」
と同じであって、特に認識の対象とする必要は無いのです。

例えば debian-www@lists.debian.org では Web Page の各国語翻訳に
ついての枠組作りがちゃんんと議論されていますし、debian-sgml でも
日本語対応についての議論を持ちかければ、おそらくそれなりに対応して
もらえるはずだと思っています。

問題は、日本から英語で議論をするために参加する人がなかなかいないこと。
結局彼らにとってみれば普段使ってないものはわからないわけだから、使う
人間がちゃんとレポートしたりパッチを送ったりしなきゃいけないのだけれど、
現状ではまだまだ不足していると思う。

まあそれはそうですね。Debian Project の問題は Debian 自身の ML で
議論しなければ。
