 wonder は「疑問に思う」というよりも「(可能性について)考える」という
感じではないかと。

という意味では ?

それにしても原文の only 8000 open bugs はちょっと意味が取りにくいな。

「このままではリリース目標としてオープンされたバグの数を 8000 以下にする
ということさえ我々にできるかどうか心配だと考えている」

という感じなんでしょうか。
