か．さらに文末が常体．

アップグレードの際には、メール設定ファイル /etc/esmtprc を debconf 
データベースの情報をもとに自動的に更新します。
そうされたくないなら(例: 自分でそのファイルを管理したい)、
このオプションをセットするとプログラムはそのファイルを一切触りません。

同じく常体．そして係り受けがおかしいですね(パスワードの直後に
"を"が必要)．さらに，仮定条件の直後には読点を打つと，どこまでが仮定
なのかが分かりやすくなります．
第2文．
冒頭の Esmtp について．英文では文頭だから E と capitalize されている
ので，日本文では capitalize しなくともよいでしょう．
第3文．
文中のSMTPの前後に空白文字がありません．

あなたがこのマシンの唯一のユーザでない限り、ユーザ名とパスワードを設定
ファイルに設定してはいけません。
