Just switch to …の just は，「[命令形の意味をやわらげて] まあちょっと.」
という意味で，「…だけ」という意味ではありません．
ここは，

<tt/alt-F2/ を使って) 2 番の仮想コンソールに切り換えて、ログインしてから
<tt>less ~root/upgrade-to-&releasename;.typescript</tt> と実行…

という程度の意味です．

first は「まず」と訳すべきでしょう．
「最初に」だと，次にインストールすべき別の aptitude があるように思えます．

confirm は，"確認"よりは "承認" のほうがいいです．
確認だと check の意味として読みとれてしまい，句点以降が「check する
前に……注意を払ってください(=check)」と意図が通りにくい文に読めてし
まいます．
