　さらに多少もじりました。
　こうすると、来訪者が更新されたグラフを見るには、手動でブラウザの更新をする必要が出てきます。

　これだと、「データベース中から検出作業する」意味にとれませんか。
　トラフィック検出→文字列を付加してデータベースに書き込み→先ほどの文字列で判別可能
　なので「文字列を PostgreSQL データベースで持つ」の方が良いように思えます。

　如何がでしょうか？
