すみません、記憶違いだったのかも。たしか Debian Project の関係者
専用 ML でそういう意見を見た覚えがあったのですが、もう手元に無い
ので確認もできませんでした。

なるほど。そういう解釈だったのですか。私が聞いていた (つもりの) 
話とはだいぶ違いますね。
