大文字かどうかはあまり関係ないのでは?  括弧を使わずに語を強調するよ
うな場合に大文字が使われそうです。

それはともかく、debian.orgのウェブページでは、「open source」ではなく、
基本的に「free software」が使わていますね。

かといって、「open source」に対して、

  「フリーソフトウェア」が「オープンソース」より好ましい理由
  http://www.yamdas.org/column/technique/fsffj.html

のようなことは言っておらず、たとえば、
`http://www.debian.org/intro/free'では、open sourceについて触れられ
ていますが、単に言及するのみになっています。
